The Quality Assurance Analyst assesses website quality through manual (and sometimes automated) testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting any actions that do not match the quality demanded from an industry-leading website, utilizing a variety of metrics such as speed, visual finesse, functional requirements, and more.
You are able to take high-level scopes of work and lay out the metrics of success for a website; outline a user journey to best cover all likely customers; as well as envision potential outlier scenarios. Your documentation skills are above others in the field, and you have demonstrated a keen sense of human behaviour as well as analytical thinking. You also understand the differences that sometimes exist between the last two things mentioned when in a digital world.
You have a portfolio of work across brands, sectors, and testing scenarios. You enjoy testing the same scenarios under slightly varying conditions, reporting on those, and presenting them in detailed fashion.
Ultimately, quality and delivering a luxury experience are our shared goals for this role!
Responsibilities include:
Building testing boards based around User Stories, project deliverables, as well as existing documentation and designs
Reviewing and analyzing the customer experience on both the front end and back end of the website
Highly detailed reporting and documenting technical issues
Empathetic-thinking skills with a demonstrated comfort in recommending customer experience improvements
(Strong Bonus) Programming experience creating and executing test scripts, and reporting on their results
Skills required include:
Exceptional documentation skills, with the ability to write in an easy-to-grasp yet high-detailed manner
Solid grasp of using advanced tools available inside a range of reporting and tracking software (Asana, Trello, Google Documents, Google Sheets, OneDrive, Microsoft applications, etc.)
Quick to grasp an understanding of the business and brand identity
Ability to think in the abstract and see how small details fit into the bigger picture
A creative mindset – and the ability to approach a problem creatively
Good communications skills, both written and verbal
A meticulous approach to work
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems
