Requirements:
A full time live out gardener is sought for a historic private estate in East Sussex, 15 minutes east of Haywards Heath. This is an opportunity for a passionate, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a team. The role includes a range of tasks to develop, enhance and conserve the gardens and estate.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will join a small team in ensuring the gardens are maintained to a high standard. The job scope includes assisting with soft landscaping, planting, pruning, cultivation and general maintenance. Good technical skills with a sound working knowledge of plants, competence with garden machinery/equipment including tractors and mowers, along with a willingness to learn are essential.
Benefits:
Starting salary will be in the region of £20,000 - £24,000 per year depending on qualifications and experience.
