As a Customer Support Engineer, you will provide engineering support to customers, customer support personnel, field support staff on systems and product issues and may assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job.
You will work with customer and company personnel to define the technical problems, determine the solution and assist customers in implementing the fix. Provide technical feedback to engineering concerning product changes/enhancements. Maybe called on-site to assist in complex technical investigations.

This role is based mainly at Adastral Park, Martlesham near Ipswich, a balance of office based and working from home.

Requirements



Strong
knowledge of SDL technology, access products, and networks



Ability to decipher complex technical logs



Strong diagnostic and fault finding methodology



Server skills including Unix and Solaris



General IP skills equivalent to CCNA or above



Product knowledge



ECI Access products



M41 DSLAM



F152 Headend



EOPS management server



DSL modems



Advantage



Knowledge and understanding of IP and Optical products        



DWDM & OTN



VMware ESXi based servers
